چکیده

In this paper we address the massive parallelization of the characterization of heartbeats by means of Graphics Processors. Heartbeats are represented with Hermite polynomials due to the compactness and robustness of this representation. Both the off-line and on-line characterization of QRS complexes are covered, thus, assessing the capabilities of Graphics Processors for these tasks. The results yield that off-line processing with a GPU can be computed 200× faster than a standard CPU, while on-line processing can be 100× faster.

gH-differentiable of the 2th-order functions interpolating

Fuzzy Hermite interpolation of 5th degree generalizes Lagrange interpolation by fitting a polynomial to a function f that not only interpolates f at each knot but also interpolates two number of consecutive Generalized Hukuhara derivatives of f at each knot. The provided solution for the 5th degree fuzzy Hermite interpolation problem in this paper is based on cardinal basis functions linear com...

Investigating the Effects of Hardware Parameters on Power Consumptions in SPMV Algorithms on Graphics Processing Units (GPUs)

Although Sparse matrix-vector multiplication (SPMVs) algorithms are simple, they include important parts of Linear Algebra algorithms in Mathematics and Physics areas. As these algorithms can be run in parallel, Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) has been considered as one of the best candidates to run these algorithms. In the recent years, power consumption has been considered as one of the metr...

Numerical Simulation of a Lead-Acid Battery Discharge Process using a Developed Framework on Graphic Processing Units

In the present work, a framework is developed for implementation of finite difference schemes on Graphic Processing Units (GPU). The framework is developed using the CUDA language and C++ template meta-programming techniques. The framework is also applicable for other numerical methods which can be represented similar to finite difference schemes such as finite volume methods on structured grid...

A Solution to Inverse Interpolation in Computer Graphics

Inverse solutions to interpolation techniques in computer graphics may increase the accuracy of the rendered frames. An example is the use of an arbitrary time stamp in time interpolation to evaluate the t-parameter, which in turn can be used for time-variant spatial interpolation. In this paper, an analytic inverse is presented for a shape-preserving piecewise cubic Hermite interpolant, used i...

A characterization of helical polynomial curves of any degree

We give a full characterization of helical polynomial curves of any degree and a simple way to construct them. Existing results about Hermite interpolation are revisited. A simple method to select the best quintic interpolant among all possible solutions is suggested.
